N.C. Cooperative Extension - Lee County Center is excited to partner with local homeowner Helen Spitler, who has inherited a large, 50-year-old blueberry patch, to host a Blueberry Pruning and Care Workshop in January 2023. The class will include an overview of blueberry care, a guide to restoration and maintenance pruning, and an opportunity to practice your newly-learned skills on the blueberry bushes there with expert guidance. The fee for attendance is $15 a person.
This will be hands-on, so wear sturdy clothes and feel free to bring your own pruning tools.
If the weather is not ideal, we will make a rain date based on registrants!
ADDRESS WILL BE SHARED WITH REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS ONLY
We are offering two dates for you to attend:- Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and the class will be led by Amanda Wilkins, the horticulture agent in Lee County.
- Sunday, February 4, 2024, 2 to 4 p.m., and the class will be led by Amanda Wilkins, the horticulture agent in Lee County.
