DO YOU HAVE LEFTOVER SEEDS? DID YOU SAVE SEEDS AND WANT TO SHARE THEM? Did you order too many seeds? Did they all look so beautiful? Did you not need as many as you thought? Donate them back to the Lee County and surrounding community!
How should I prepare my donations?
Seeds should ideally be cleaned and packaged in coin or paper bags or envelopes. NO UNLABELED SEEDS! We want to know what they are!If they aren't cleaned, you can coordinate with the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Lee County Center for drop-off. Email amwilkin@ncsu.edu or by phone at +1 (919) 775-5624. The Extension’s address is 2420 Tramway Road, Sanford, NC 27332-9172.
Please include the following information on the labels (if they are not the original commercial package):- Name of the plant (scientific name preferred)
- Source location (city, county, state where the mother plant was grown)
- Whether the seed has been chilled
- Date it was packaged (M/D/Y)
- Where do I take my donations?
Thank you!
