Pam – This week was short and full of 4-H admin duties but I was happy to welcome two new volunteers, Laura Gremore & Candace Woodell, to the 4-H program team. They held their first club meeting on Thursday. Look at those cute Cloverbuds making crafts!

Amanda- We love working with our Farm to ECE partners. We got to continue with some on-going purchasing to expand the garden capacity of our center’s teaching tools! There were a lot of client calls to catch up on before June starts. I am also excited that the 2023 Great Southeast Pollinator Census webinar is coming up on June 7! We got to meet with our GA and NC partners to talk about what the webinar will cover.

Meredith- I went up to High Country Food Hub with Local Foods Agent Sophie Harlow from Randolph County to check out their facilities. I came back with lots of inspiration for the Sanford Agriculture Marketplace! This weekend was the car show at the Sanford Farmers’ Market and it was BUSY!

Bill- Amanda, Zaria and I got a tour of the Plant Science Building on Centennial Campus along with interns, agents and directors across the state of North Carolina, as part of the welcome and orientation for Plant Science Initiative Interns. Did you know Zaria Reep, our 2023 intern, is also working on a project at PSI as part of her internship experience this summer? How cool!
