Box of Sticks collected from the Pollinator Haven Garden for pollinator overwintering research
We are participating in a citizen science project with NC State researchers to understand how insects utilize plant stems throughout the year. We have left the stems from last year’s plants standing to see what insects will build their nests in them. Stems will be harvested in March, May, August and November and sent up to NC State.
