Calling All Farmers and Market Vendors!
Market season is coming, get your market scales inspected and certified!We will have scale inspectors from N.C. Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services visiting on March 6th to inspect your scales. This service is free – NO COST.
You can drop off your scales on March 5th (or earlier if that works better for you!). Scales will be available for pick-up on Friday, March 7th.
Scales need to be a class 3 NTEP approved and have a CC number on the serial plate in order to be certified. They also need to be fully operational with appropriate chargers/batteries included.
At drop-off, you will need to provide the following information:- Name
- Business/Farm Name
- Street Address
- Contact information (Phone & Email)
Important Dates:
Scale Drop-off:Wednesday, March 5th, 2025, 8:00am - 5:00 p.m.; Drop scale off before this date if it is more convenient!
Scale Pick-up: Friday, March 7th, 2025, 8:00am - 5:00 p.m
