Turn your "trash" into garden treasure! Join Extension Master Gardener Intern and composting expert Carolynn Fox for an evening dedicated to the art and science of home composting.

If you’ve ever wanted to start a compost pile but were worried about smells, pests, or just didn't know where to begin, this 101 session is for you. Carolynn brings years of experience to the table, covering everything from basic backyard bins to the magic of compost tea.

What We’ll Cover:
  • The "Recipe" for Success: Learn the perfect balance of "Greens" (nitrogen) and "Browns" (carbon) to keep your pile cooking.
  • Troubleshooting: How to prevent odors and keep the process simple and tidy.
  • Compost Tea & Liquid Gold: Carolynn will share her specialized knowledge on how to brew nutrient-rich compost tea to give your plants a powerhouse boost.
  • Sustainability at Home: See how easy it is to divert kitchen scraps and yard waste from the landfill while building world-class soil for your garden.

Whether you have a sprawling backyard or a small patio, composting is the single best way to improve your soil health. Come grab a pint, meet your neighbors, and learn how to make your garden thrive from the ground up!
