SERVSAFE Managers Training

N.C. Cooperative Extension and Lee County Environmental Health will be sponsoring “SERVSAFE, Manager’s Training” on April 15 and 16 with the national exam given on April 17. Food Service employees will be trained, tested and certified in critical food safety practices  and will be offered techniques for implementing effective food safety training in their own operations. Classes will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 in the Farm Bureau Auditorium at the McSwain Extension Education and Agriculture Center, 2420 Tramway Road in Sanford.

Participation in the seminar is recommended for food service managers and the supervisory staff in restaurant, hospitals, schools, nursing homes and other food service establishments inspected by Environmental Health.

The cost for attending the course is $100, if paid by April 1, 2013 and $120 after that date. The fee will cover program expenses, the book and certification test.
